Using single crochet, the gold leaf potholders is worked in rows from top to bottom. The red leaf potholder is worked in rows along each side of a starting chain. The two layers are then held together and crocheted around to join them.

Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton in the following colors and amounts: Gold Leaf Potholder: 120yds (110m) Cornmeal #257, 10yds (9m) Maize #186. Red Leaf Potholder: 120yds (110m) Hot Pepper #113. About 10yds (9 m) of dark brown fine cotton yarn for embroidering leaf details. Crochet hook size I-9 (5.5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge. Yarn needle.
