Fallingwater Hat
This hat creates a snug form for the wearer’s head. The twisted ribbing and eye-catching texture of the alternating stockinette and reverse stockinette sections create plateaus in multiple directions, much like the structure of the Prairie School style of architecture.
Finished measurements
15 3/4 (17 1/2, 19 1/4)“ (40 44.5, 49 cm) circumference; stretches to fit 19 3/4 (21 1/2, 23 1/4)” (50 54.5, 59 cm) head circumference.
Yarn
DK weight (#3 light).
Shown here: Dream in Color Everlasting DK (100% superwash merino wool, 275 yd 251 m/100g): Carolina, 1 skein.
Needles
Size U.S. 6 (4 mm): 16” (40 cm) circular (cir) and set of 4 double-pointed (dpn).
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
