Fan Stitch Crochet Scarf and Beaded Pin
About the Design
This design is quick and easy to work up.
There are two styles of beading used in the design. The pin uses the hook-on method, where a bead is hooked onto each finished stitch, as you crochet.
The scarf fringe uses the pre-strung method, but there’s only 23 beads strung onto the yarn for each fringe. Each fringe is worked separately, so there’s not a lot of prestringing to do at one time.
The yarns used are very soft and are ideal for wearing around the neck – Targhee wool, which is as soft as Merino and Cashmere, the queen of softness!
These accessories would make wonderful gifts, as they are quick to make, yet unique and elegant.
Scarf: 5″ wide x 40″ long, excluding glass bead fringe
Yarn
Garden Yarns 100% 8-ply) cashmere, approx. 100 yds / 2 oz hanks: 1 hank each MC and CC
Note: This hand-dyed yarn is no longer available, but any soft heavy worsted/aran weight yarn, such as merino, or baby alpaca would be just as lovely.
