Fancy forced biscuits
This pattern has been designed for the Supersock World Championship 2026 competition. It will be available to everyone for free after the end of the race.
Fancy forced biscuits
The motif in this design reminded me of the biscuits our neighbour made when I was a little girl.
I was intrigued how these biscuits were made along with the look and taste – full of butter and sugar, no wonder they tasted so good to my young palate. The biscuit dough was forced through a disc with various configurations of holes and slits to form the different biscuit shapes – it never took any force to persuade me to consume these fancy looking and yummy biscuits as a child.
This is a fun and easy design with no long floats, perfect for knitters new to stranded colourwork socks.
These socks are knitted toe up and feature a rounded wedge toe and heel flap and gusset. The heel flap is worked in slipped stitch pattern. The socks are finished with two Vikkel braids and ribbing.
