This crochet mandala is called Fancy Nancy and it celebrates the colour and joy my friend Nancy (@avocadofairy on Instagram) brings to the lives of everyone around her. It is a reminder of the fact that life is full of serendipitous encounters, wonderful people, precious moments of grace, and rainbows!

I have used a 3.25mm crochet hook and Scheepjes Catona Cutie Pies, yielding a 15cm/6” mandala. You are, of course, welcome to use any yarn/hook combination you fancy (no pun intended).

The pattern covers tapestry crochet, front-post work, really lazy popcorns, and invisible joins.

It is intermediate, but written for adventurous beginners, with plenty of photos and hints along the way.
