Fancyfree came about because I like to dress in a simple manner. It will dress up a plain shirt, while still keeping an outfit simple. By the same token, using a beautiful white yarn, it becomes stunningly bridal (as my tester did, see project page). This collar will take the chill off your neck & shoulders, or add a finishing touch to an already beautiful outfit.
~~
The design is adventurous beginner to intermediate; though since any knitting is simply one stitch at a time, I believe anyone can accomplish it.
~~
It is one-size fits all, though you will need to measure the circumference of your neck so that you can get the neckband just right for you. The distance it hangs down your arms will change with your size. I am a fluffy lady, you can see it still comes over my shoulders a nice distance.
~~
Instructions to extend the collar to a longer capelet are included on final pattern. Yardage would increase by 600, for each repeat of the pattern to extend it.
~~
There are several charts, with written instructions for each. I also include a lot of notes to help in areas that may offer different ways to accomplish the same thing.

You will need 6 buttons for collar, 1/2 - 3/4”

This pattern was done in a KAL through the Fiber Art Work group.

There is also a pair of matching fingerless mitts, Fancyfree Fingers, available to purchase. If buying both items, & you are using specialty buttons; you will also need 4 1/2” buttons for the mitts (a total of 10 buttons).

Thank you all for joining in!!! ;O)
