Fanfare is a convertible cowl/hat designed for yarns dyed in assigned pooling colorways.

The stockinette stitch body is perfect for playing with assigned pooling. Worsted weight yarn knits up quickly, giving you a quick and successful introduction to this fun technique.

Sample yarn has 10” (green/purple) 16” (silver/pink) runs of color. Each skein is unique. Your stitch count and gauge also affect your pooling.

Pattern includes link to video tutorial for the fan stitch, as well as ideas to adapt the fan stitch for the length of the color pop in your yarn.

Fanfare has a reverse stockinette rolled edge at top and bottom. A knit cord is threaded through a round of eyelets near the top. The cord is tied in a decorative bow on the cowl. The cord can also be cinched to convert the cowl to a hat.
