Introducing my newest pattern, Fan-tastic Socks!

This roomy sock has a ladder of fan-like lace atop the instep and around the leg. A wide toe box offers considerable comfort, and the stitches around the heel add an extra panache of detail, perfect for showing off your newly hand-knit socks in mules or clogs.

Sizes: Medium Wide Width Adult Sock Sized to Fit *

Yarn: 1 skein of Super Socks & Baby Yarn by Tess’ Designer Yarns (450 yds/100 gms) or 2 skeins of Koigu Painters Palette Premium Merino by Koigu Yarns (170 yds/50 gms)

Yarn Substitutions: 350 – 400 yds Sock Weight or Light Sport Weight Yarn

Needle(s): US 3 circular 36” – 48” for Magic Loop or double-pointed needles for In-the-Round, ** (Optional for tighter ankle) US 2 circular for Magic Loop or double-pointed needles for In-the- Round for the ribbing only

Gauge: 7 sts = 1” in flat Stockinette Stitch
For a wider sock, I suggest going down in gauge (6/6.5 sts = 1”); and for a tighter sock, I suggest going up in gauge (maybe 7.5/8 sts = 1”).

Notion(s): 5 Stitch Markers (1 to mark beg/end of rounds, 4 for working the heel), Yarn Needle
