Fashion is my Passion
This pattern is included in Joyful Colorwork Socks: 25 New Knitting Patterns for Fun & Whimsical Footwear Featuring Pets, Games, Food, Hobbies & More which was published in November 2024.
Available as a book or ebook in most book stores.
These socks are for those who are passionate about the art
of fashion and makeup. Personally, I am not the most talented at this, but I admire anyone who has the skill and can paint a face perfectly. I felt we needed some fun socks for our lipstick-loving friends.
These socks are knit from the top down, starting with a ribbed cuff and including a short row heel. The pattern has a fun and easy-to-knit lipstick motif pattern followed by a painted lips
pattern that is repeated throughout the leg and foot. There are never any more than two colors knit in one round for this pattern. Once the chart is completed for the length of the foot,
the socks are decreased for the toe and then grafted together.
