This lovely semi-circular shawl was inspired by bird feathers, mimicked by easy lace patterns. Worked from the top down with regular increase rows, it would be a great introduction to shawls for an advanced beginner, or a nice break from complicated lace for those a bit more seasoned.

Sundara Yarn Fingering Merino Cashmere (70% superwash merino/20% cashmere/10% nylon; 500 yards 455 meters/150 grams): The End of Silence, 1 skein; or approx 460 yds / 420 m of a fingering weight yarn

Size US#4 (3.5 mm): 32” circular

Gauge
20 sts and 28 rows = 4” 10 cm in St st and Alternating Feather Openwork patt after wet blocking

Notes
- Shawl is worked in one piece from the top-down. The increase rows are placed at regular intervals to achieve the semi-circular shape. Lace patterns are worked on the right side rows only and are easy to memorize.
