Featheround
Featheround is a versatile hat pattern that provides lots of options to knit a special and fancy hat for yourself and everyone on your knit-worthy list! The wide brim edge is worked sideways in a lovely lace feather pattern, then the body of the hat is worked in stockinette studded with eyelets for interest.
Instructions are provided for four sizes as well as options to create a voluminous, slouchy tam-style hat or a chic, fitted beanie—8 combinations in all!
Use charts or written instructions to create the brim first, then pick up and knit stitches around the edge and work in the round towards the top! You’ll be rocking your new look in no time!
Required skills include provisional cast on, three needle bind off and picking up and knitting stitches. This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters.
A quick overview of blocking recommendations is provided in the pattern, and additional information can be found on my blog.
