February square - YEAR
February Square is a crochet pattern that offers a more relaxed feel compared to other squares in the Year collection, while still delivering a rich texture. It’s well-suited for cozy home décor projects — I used a light worsted (DK weight) yarn, but a throw, pillow, or rug made with a heavier yarn would have its own unique charm.
From a technical standpoint, the pattern uses familiar stitches: single and double crochet, chains, and slip stitches. The texture is created through a combination of working into the front and back loops (FLO and BLO) and crossed double crochets.
The pattern is written in English (US terms) and designed to produce an 11-inch square, though it includes instructions for adjusting the size to fit your project needs. Graph chart includes.
It’s an easy-to-memorize pattern, making it a great choice for a weekend project or something to take on the go. You can explore the rest of the Year collection here and choose a complementary design.
