Fellow Weavers
An original crochet spider web with two cute spiders, worked flat from the center outward: one spider perched on the web, the other suspended below on its own thread.
The web combines right-side rounds with back-and-forth partial rows to build an irregular, cobweb-like shape. Each spider is worked in two rounds: the first shapes a slightly convex body, the second adds the head and legs.
Sample shown in a 4-ply cotton and 3 mm hook; the pattern adapts easily to other yarn weights with an appropriately sized hook. Blocking is recommended for a crisp, well-defined finish.
Pattern includes:
- Written instructions (US terms) and stitch charts
- Materials and gauge notes
- Hook-size guidance for adapting to other yarn weights
Skill level: Intermediate — worked in rounds and rows, with basic stitches used.
A striking, textural piece for Halloween and autumn decor — hang it in a window, doorway, or wall.
