Felt Appliquéd Skirt
Pattern description from Folk Style: “Inspired by crewelwork found on traditional fabrics from India, Gayle Bunn artfully played with proportion and exploded large felted flowers and leaves onto a truly modern skirt. Gayle felted knitted strips of fabric, then cut out the flower and leaf motifs to appliqué onto six unfelted skirt panels, Finally, she joined the motifs with embroidered chain-stitched vines. Gayle chose a folk-art palette of a warm red worked with faded shades of cool blue and olive that evokes the look of aged tapestry.”
