This pattern is for a knitted and felted beaver. It uses about 110g Patons Classic Wool in your choice of color (beaver shown is in Chestnut Brown), and is knitted on size 9 needles. Gauge is not important but knitting should be loose to allow for felting. You will also need 2 12mm safety eyes and polyester fiberfill. The completed beaver will be about 16” long after felting. Other 100% worsted wool yarns may be used, but please do a test swatch to confirm feltability; use of other yarns may affect the final size of your critter.

This pattern is written for intermediate to advanced knitters and assumes knowledge of the following techniques: knit (k), purl (p), increase (inc), decrease/knit 2 tog (k2tog), and knitting in the round. Some experience with soft toy construction is also helpful.
