This pattern is for a knitted and felted guinea pig, which will measure approximately 13” long. It uses Patons Classic Wool (one skein for a solid color guinea pig; if making the tricolor version half a skein or less each of light brown, dark brown, and aran). You will also need straight and double point size 9 knitting needles, polyester fiberfill and two 12mm safety eyes. Gauge is not critical but your knitting should be loose to allow for felting. Other yarns may be used but please knit and felt a test swatch first.

Pattern is for intermediate to advanced knitters and assumes knowledge of the following techniques: knit (k), purl (p), increase (inc), decrease/knit 2 together and knitting in the round.
