This pattern is for a knitted and felted sea turtle. It uses Patons Classic Wool (one skein ea of two colors of your choice), and is knitted on size 9 needles. Gauge is not important but knitting should be loose to allow for felting. You will also need 2 9mm safety eyes and polyester fiberfill. The completed sea turtle will be about 13” long after felting. Other 100% worsted wool yarns may be used, but please do a test swatch to confirm feltability; use of other yarns may affect the final size of your critter.

This pattern is written for beginning to intermediate knitters and assumes knowledge of the following techniques: knit (k), purl (p), increase (inc) and decrease/knit 2 tog (k2tog). Some experience with soft toy construction is also helpful.
