The patterns in Fennir are like hoofprints of Icelandic horses in the snow. More snow is at the top part of the sweater, and Fennir actually means snowfall. Because of the thick yarn and the pattern all through the sweater, Fennir is very warm. You may want to choose one size larger than you usually would. Also make sure the floats are loose enough!

Fennir is quick to knit. As with many Icelandic garments, the sleeves are knitted first, followed by the body, and the yoke comes last, combining everything into a completed garment. The front and back of the sweater are the same, so they can be worn either way. You will have no trouble knitting with this pattern!
