Riimu islantilaisneule on suunniteltu rakkaudesta hevosiin, neulomiseen ja islantilaislankoihin.

Lettlopi -langasta neulottuna Riimu on ihana harrastusvaate sekä ulos, että sisälle. Materiaali toimii tuulta, kosteutta ja kylmyyttä vastaan, mutta tasaa silti mukavasti lämmön lämpimämmässä. Erittäin oiva materiaali mihin vaan. Riimu -paita on malliltaan tyköistuva, joten se asettuu tarvittaessa hyvin myös takin alle.

Riimu on nopea neuloa. Monien islantilaisneuleiden tavoin ensin neulotaan hihat, sitten miehusta ja viimeisenä kaarroke joka yhdistää osat valmiiksi vaatteeksi, tällä ohjeella onnistut helposti!

Riimu is a Finnish word, meaning a horse’s headcollar. It is a suitable name for this lovely and horsey sweater with simple motifs on the hem and sleeves and Icelandic horses tolting in the yoke. The colours are easy to mix with a few matching tones. The sweater is fitted with additional shapings in the waistline.

Riimu is quick to knit. As with many Icelandic sweaters, the sleeves are knitted first, followed by the body, and the yoke comes last, combining everything into a completed garment. The front and back of the sweater itself are the same, so it can be worn either way.
Riimu is also available in children´s sizes, so that you can knit a matching set for the whole family.

The best Finnish alternative to Icelandic wool is perhaps the wool of Åland sheep. If the wool’s properties in outdoor activities are not essential to your dress, you can replace the wool of Icelandic sheep with any local alternative you like.
