FERN LACE SCARF
Stunning lace created by simple shaping with the LK 150 makes this pattern completely mesmerizing as it comes to life!
PATTERN NOTES
From Felicia: “Back in the fall of 2009, when I travelled to Japan, I brought along one single skein of SweetGeorgia CashSilk Lace to knit something on the plane. Lace that was easy enough to remember and interesting enough to keep me knitting. After a few false starts and frogging fits, I ended up with this lace pattern from A Treasury of Knitting Patterns… the diagonal fern lace.“
From Barb: “I was excited to be asked to convert Felicia’s original hand-knit pattern, CashSilk Fern lace scarf to a machine knitting pattern. I swatched out several different methods on my LK 150 to replicate the original pattern and the pretty slanted leaf design. The last swatch used a new-to-me two step vertical decrease method that I ended up using in the final version of the pattern. I’ve included both written and charted instructions of all the techniques to help you follow along to machine knit this pretty lace scarf. I hope you enjoy the process of making lace and I look forward to seeing your Fern Lace scarf!“
