To crochet a star from my pattern you will need:

• Oddments of double knitting (light worsted) yarn. Only small amounts are needed for each star (approximately 4-5g).
• US E/4 hook or UK 3.5mm
• Short lengths of ribbon that is approximately 6mm wide
• 1 small button per star
• Sewing needle and thread to sew on button and ribbon
• Yarn needle and scissors

Note that you can also use aran weight (worsted) with a 4mm/US G/6 hook or 4ply (sock yarn) with a 2.5mm/US C-2 hook, noting that this will alter the finished size compared to the measurements given.
