Feyd Rautha is Baron Harkonnen’s youngest nephew and his plan for a successor. The Baron once said “He who controls the spice controls the Universe”- (Dune 1965) and he hopes to marry him to princess Irulan so one day a Harkonnen will sit on the throne. Feyd is described as attractive and charismatic and is known for his love of the fighting arena. His sock is meant to resemble the athletic socks from the 1970’s. The sock is worked top down with a slipped stitch cuff pattern meant to depict movements in battle, blocking and jabbing, but in an archaic brute manner. Pattern has a Fleegle heel and at the toe a slipped stitch “bed of the Spice” since Feyd had only dipped his toe into the world of spice at his death.
