Fianna is one of the patterns in the eBook Winter Sonata.

I always wanted to make shawl using sport weight yarn and when I received Malabrigo Arroyo in the beautiful V.A.A colorway, I decided to make a textural lace shawl with it.

I have fun designing Fianna as it is worked by repeating the same chart over and over again. Fingering weight yarn can be used for this pattern too. If a larger size shawl is desired, just simply add two more extra repeats at each side of the triangle.
Don’t forget to use stitch markers in lace shawl knitting, they are always our good friends!

Materials:

Yarn: Malabrigo Arroyo colorway V.A.A 335Yard/100g – 2 skeins

Needles: 4mm (US 6) and 6mm (US 10)

Gauge: 21sts = 4”
