Combine classic mathematical concepts (Fibonacci Sequence) with a classic knitting pattern (Feather and Fan) for a multi-color slightly asymmetrical crescent-shaped shawl with a flirty ripple edge.

Fibonacci and Fan calls for 2 colors of sock yarn: a solid or semi-solid and a coordinating variegated or handpainted colorway. For best results, there should be great contrast between the two and they should not have any overlapping colors. Approximately 250 yards is needed for each Color One and Color Two.

The prototype and test knit were worked using Thede and Heritage as the variegated and solid, respectively. Knitters may select which they want to use as Color One and Color Two.
