This pattern was designed to showcase hand-spun or indie-dyed yarns in all their unique glory. Simple enough for beginners or brain dead farmers who still want to knit at the end of the night but still be interesting to knit. Blocks of Stockinette fabric are broken up by raised eyelet bands that progress using the Fibonacci sequence.

Difficulty Level: Beginner

Size: Sample Dimensions after blocking: 56” from point to point across top. 26” from top to bottom

Yarn:Sample was knit using a local merino fleece that I hand processed, spun and dyed. Skein was 4.75oz and approx 570 yards. I used about 4oz. Any fingering-ish weight yarn should knit up similar but feel free to use any size yarn and just adjust needle size as needed for happy fabric.

Needle: .US 6 24” cable needle, but adjust if needed for your yarn

Gauge: After blocking 4.5 st/in and probably 6 before but really isn’t important.

Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle
