The FibreFest 2026 shawl design is a combination of a textured pattern and mosaic knitting. The textured pattern in the main body of the shawl is akin to plaid using knit and purl stitches. The edging of the shawl is a mosaic knitting stitch. The inspiration for the shawl is that of a comforting blanket, with a hearty plaid pattern central portion and a vibrant edging.

For this shawl you will need 3 skeins 4ply 100g/400m for the main colour and 1 100g/400m skein of 4ply in each of the contrast colours. Designer has used The Australian Wool Store 100% Superwash Merino 4 ply featuring Dry Martini for the main colour and Cobweb and Vermentino for the contrast colours.
