Fields of Kent shawlette
• Knitting starts with a garter tab
• there is a self-finishing edge that is a 3-st garter edge; please remember to slip the first st of EVERY row to ensure a nice, clean chain-edge
• there is a 5-st lace panel that separates the three sections of lace patterning
• the directions are written out as well as charts
• to add the border at the bottom – DO NOT bind off the live sts but instead, turn the shawlette perpendicularly and work the lace border, binding-off live sts as you go. This keeps the edge flexible and allows for blocking out
