This is Fig Bear. I designed him specifically for super chunky faux fur yarns, a bit more than super chunky in my opinion. If you wish to use thinner yarns please adjust your needle size to at least 2 sizes smaller than recommended needle size on the ball band.

These yarns come in many brands, the brands I have tried are Sirdar Alpine; James C Brett Chinchilla; Scheepje’s Furry Tails; Lion Brand Go For Faux Fur. There are other similar brands, the only warning is to check the yardage, Fig Bear takes approximately 90 yards, which is approximately 130 grams.

Fig Bear is knitted flat and assembled, I include a very detailed making up guide full of photos and tips to help you. His feet, legs and body are knitted as one part, head, arms and ears are knitted separately and sewn on. Because of the thickness of this yarn he’s a very quick knit. This pattern also includes a sweater with a choice of four motifs; Christmas Tree, Christmas Stocking, Reindeer and Heart. I have written the directions for these line by line, not a graph.
