Filet for Today
From the magazine:
Bone up on your filet crochet with our updated version of this beautiful shell. Originally designed as a corset cover, this pattern is truly a relic from the Victorian times of filet. Instead of reaching for the fine thread and steel hook that our grandmothers would have used, we bumped things up to a more contemporary size 3 thread for a longer, thicker tank that is oh-so-now. Pair it with a turtleneck for the daytime or dress it up for a night on the town.
Gauge: 10 (dc, ch 1) mesh and 10 rows = 4”/10cm over Petite Filet pattern.
Notions: 1.5 yd/1.5 m grosgrain ribbon, 1”/2.5 cm wide; yarn needle
Errata from Linked Page:
There is an error in the instructions for FRONT, at the end of second column on page 10. Please note the following changes in bold:
“On WS rows, begin working chart in 15th (18th, 20th, 23rd, 25th, 28th) mesh.”
The same correction applies to the annotation in the lower left corner of the filet chart.
