Film Noir Twist
Introducing the Film Noir Twist Pullover! This loose-fitting top is great for lounging around the house, or wearing out and about! Instructions are given for single-color construction as well, and there’s NO SEAMING except for the twist in the front! It’s all crocheted together as it’s worked!
You can use any DK (#3) weight yarn. I used Nob Hill Cat’s Eye yarn in Angora and Bombay. You’ll need 1100-2000 yards total, depending on size (and that’ll be split evenly if you use two colors!)
This White and Black sweater started with that elegant front twist. I’ve seen headband after headband with this twist, but I knew I wanted to do something different. And thus this pullover was born! I may also have taken a tiny bit of inspiration from a certain dog-hating villain, but the elegance of the sleeves was much more reminiscent of classic noir film fashion, which is how this sweater got its name!
As I mentioned, this top is made without seaming. You make one color of the back, and attach the other color as you work it! The right and left front pieces are constructed right off of the back, and the sleeves are worked the same, right off of the main sweater. The only seaming is with the twist in the front!
This lovely sweater comes in sizes Small (32”) to 5XL (60”). You will need a basic understanding of the crochet stitches chain, slip stitch, single crochet, and treble crochet.
As always you are welcome to reach out if you have any questions about the pattern. Once the pattern is purchased, you may sell your finished items, as long as you give credit to me as the designer.
