The cowl is a combination of patterns from The Knight and The Lady in The Book of Courtly Love. It is a ruffled cowl in an adult size, but the size is easily adjusted. The stitch patterns used in this cowl are multiples of eight, so the finished circumference can be adjusted up or down by adding or removing blocks of eight stitches.

Finished measurements after blocking: approximately 23 inches (57.5cm) around neck and 7 inches (17.5cm) deep.

Needles: One 16-inch (40cm) US #1 (2.25mm) circular needle and one 16-inch (40cm) US #3 (3.25mm) circular needle, or sizes needed to match gauge.
