The pattern is really very versatile. While it is written for an adult male, it is easily adaptable to a woman’s head. The cap could be made for children with some pattern adjustments. It could even be made for babies if using a 4 ply yarn.

The main stitch is double crochet (dc - in UK terms) so adapts easily for US crocheters - i.e. single crochet (sc).

The yardage for the cap is higher than normal because of the thick, warm fabric produced and will use almost 294 meters (322 yards) for an adult male.
