Finger Knit Linen Baskets
This technique uses the same concept as crochet in the round but with finger knitting! I’m in love! Flip your basket inside out to create a different texture entirely.
I finger knit with 6 strands of the Louet Euroflax Sport Weight at once. to give the basket structure as well as shine and elegance at the same time. You want a yarn with some structure and stiffness to hold the shape of the basket. With a heavier weight yarn, you could use fewer strands. Twine or cotton cording would work well.
In length, I combined 6 x 90 yard lengths of the sport weight for the large basket (540 yards) and 6 x 42 yard lengths of the sport weight for the small basket (252 yards). I used a total of 3 skeins of Pewter.
