Fingerless Mitt Tutorial
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
Stitch counts are not included. This is a tutorial on making fingerless mitts starting with your yarn and your needles. You will knit a gauge swatch, determine your gauge and apply that to the hand measurements.
This technique will work with any yarn for any size project from a small child to an adult.
The tutorial includes in-depth videos on Tubular CO in the round, Tubular BO in the round, M1 increases, and how to create a perfect thumb gusset.
The pattern also covers calculating gauge from a gauge swatch and how to determine ease.
This was originally made for a knitting class that I teach at our local Junior College.
