This is a great hat in a lovely fir cone pattern with a twisted rib brim. It uses the soft pure wool yarn - Debbie Bliss Rialto Chunky and uses just 3 balls.

It knits up quickly using 6mm/US 10 and 6.5mm/US 10.5 needles, and is knitted flat. It is an easy pattern to work and is suitable for intermediates. It is a warm hat, yet suitable for spring and autumn, and is a great slouchy shape.
