Fiori
Fiori is a half-octagon shaped shawl designed for fingering weight (4ply) yarns. It features repeating stripes of stocking stitch separated by contrasting stripes of sweet simple lace.
Perfect for pairing a lovely speckled or variegated yarn with a solid, this project is an easy relaxing knit that will result in a lovely shawl that’s perfect for draping over your shoulders.
In addition to the written instructions this pattern includes a very detailed tick-sheet which allows you to work the entire pattern from it.
Yarn
MC: 1 skein of fingering weight (4ply) yarn (I used 68g Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles at 366m/400yd per 100g/3.5oz col. Bramble).
CC: 1 skein of fingering weight (4ply) yarn (I used 96g Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles not including the tassels, at 366m/400yd per 100g/3.5oz col. Plump).
Needles & Notions
Pair of 4mm (US 6) and 4.5mm (US 7) needles. I like to use an 80cm circular needle set but straight are fine also. The larger needles are optional for a loose cast off.
I advise the use of 8 stitch markers and a safety pin or clip marker for marking your row progress.
Tension/Gauge
19 sts x 32 rows to 10cm (4”) over stocking stitch after blocking on 4mm (US 6) needles.
Finished Measurements
65cm (25 1/2”) deep at centre x 130cm (51”) wide along top edge (blocked).
