This baby outfit includes a sleeveless dress and a short jacket to go over it. I’m using superwash merino wool which is soft and easy to maintain. The original pattern is written for Sandnes Smart, but I have tested it also with Schachenmayr Extrafine 120, which works well as well.

There are 7 colours in the pattern. For the smaller size you will need max. 1 ball of each colour.

The dress utilizes several techniques, including intarsia, stranded, duplicated stitches and even some crochet. The jacket is knitted top down.

In addition to longer needles you will need dpn’s for the sleeves.

The inspiration for the pattern comes from early summer and naturally dyed wool, hence the subtle colours. However, it would look lovely in pastels or even bright primary colours.
