Pattern Description

Children love mermaids’ friends. They are very quick and easy to knit, so make lots of them in a whole variety of colors. I used tapestry yarn for these because of the huge color range available.

Yarn Requirements

Anchor Wool tapestry yarn in quantities specified below
- Orange Spotted Fish--two skeins of
orange and one skein each of light
brown, lilac, turquoise, white and
black

• Turquoise and Yellow Fish--two skeins of turquoise and one skein each of black, pale yellow, and white
• Yellow, Black and White Fish--Two skeins of yellow and one skein each of white and black
• Black and White Fish--Two skeins of black and one skein each of white, hot pink, pale yellow and orange

Additional Materials
- Polyester toy stuffing

Gauge note--working to a specific gauge is not essential for these toys.
