A small stole that is quick and easy to knit and yet not boring at all, Fish Factor is the perfect introduction to lace for beginners of this technique, but it is also a fast and entertaining knit for more experienced knitters who are looking for the perfect TV knit, with a little bit of adventure but not so intricate that you have to devote all of your attention to it.
The stole is built from the center out, stitches are cast on with a provisional method, I have used the crocheted cast-on but you can pick your favorite. Once you have finished knitting the first half of the scarf, you will have to undo the cast on and pick up stitches to knit the second half. The varying widths of the stole are created by the way the various stitch patterns interact, so that the stitch count is always the same throughout the stole.

Fish Factor è una piccola stola facile, veloce da lavorare ma per nulla noiosa, perfetta come introduzione alla lavorazione a pizzo. Ma può anche essere un lavoro veloce e divertente per i più esperti che cercando qualcosa di avventuroso quanto basta ma non così difficile da distogliere la loro attenzione mentre lavorano davanti alla TV.
La stola è lavorata dal centro. Le maglie si avviano con un metodo provvisorio (ho usato quello all’uncinetto, voi potete scegliere il vostro preferito). Una volta completata la lavorazione della prima metà, dovrete disfare l’avvio e ripendere le maglie per lavorare la seconda parte della sciarpa. Le variazioni di ampiezza sono create dall’interaziobne dei punti usati nel lavoro, per cui il numero di maglie resta stabile per tutta l’esecuzione.
