Bright colors, cheerful fish, and easy to crochet granny squares make this blanket a truly irresistible project!

Five different shades of blue are used for the background to add extra depth to the composition, and the pretty effervescent picots emphasize the overall aquatic look of this blanket.

Your color choice can make it look bright and naive, or monochrome and minimalistic. Experiment with alternative color combinations using the blank template included in the pattern.

MATERIALS

  • Yarn: King Cole Big Value; DK; 158 yd (145 m) per 50g ball; 100% Premium Acrylic
  • Hook: U.S. G-6 (4 mm)
  • Two locking stitch markers
  • Yarn needle to weave in ends

YARDAGE

  • 1 ball each in Jade 4046, French Navy 4043, Lime 4049, Violet 4038, White 4020 and Pink 4033

Gauge is not crucial for this design.

FINISHED SIZE

  • 43¼″ x 43¼″ (110 cm x 110 cm)

The size of the blanket can be adjusted by using thinner/thicker yarn, working fewer/more rounds of square motifs, or working fewer/more motif blocks.
