Fish Pot Holders
Crocheted fish pot holders add a playful touch to your kitchen. The pot holder’s lively scale texture is created by crocheting shell stitches in different colored yarns. This quick crochet project makes a wonderful gift for a housewarming or an avid home chef.
Worsted-weight wool yarns.
The blue-toned pot holder is crocheted with Drops Karisma (100% wool, 50 g (1.8 oz) = 100 m (110 yd)) in navy blue (17), light denim (30), and white (19).
The yellow-toned pot holder is crocheted with Filcolana’s Peruvian (100% wool, 50 g (1.8 oz) = 100 m (110 yd)) in kumquat (284), and Sandnes Garn’s Peer Gynt (100% wool, 50 g (1.8 oz) = 91 m (100 yd)) in sunshine (2016) and white (1002).
3.5 mm (US size E) crochet hook or according to your gauge

Tip!
You can also crochet the fish pot holders using double strands of yarn and a larger hook, making them thicker and bigger. You can even crochet them together along the edges to create oven mitts!
