Fisher
This is one of five original designs in Ann Hood’s book “Knitting Yarns: Writers on Knitting”. This is my favorite of the five.
This elegant, lacy wrap is created in three sections yet it is seamless. The provisional cast on allows the stitches to remain live even after the body of the wrap is complete. The edging design is created by casting off the stitches as you make the decorative edge.
A perfect yarn substitution would be 5 skeins Captiva by Berroco (60% cotton/23% polyester/17% acrylic with 98 yards) Color: #5515 Laurel. The finished piece measures 20” x 60” prior to blocking.
This piece is named after Peggy Fisher, my Great Aunt, who was an avid knitter and who taught me what love is all about and how to give a strong hug
