A classic fisherman-style sweater combines traditional with a dramatic brioche waffle center cable and lacey eyelet details - just for us girls! The fit is long and loose in the body balanced by a slender sleeve and a scooped neckline.
Construction: Sweater is knit flat from the bottom up with seams. The neckline ribbing is worked in the round. (The entire pattern could be easily modified for working completely in the round.)
Skills used:
Cables, reading charts, tubular cast on and bind off (explained), Kitchener stitch, slip stitch, lace.
Finished chest measurements:
34 (36, 39 3⁄4, 43 3⁄4, 471⁄2, 51, 54 3⁄4)“
A loose fit - 3-5” ease is recommended. Shown in size 39 3⁄4 on a 36” dress form.
Yarn:
Sunday Knits 5 ply (worsted), 125 m / 137 yd per 50 g / 1 3⁄4 oz skein) in Nirvana (92% merino 8% cashmere), Eden (100% me- rino), Brigadoon (100% merino tweed or Angelic (75% merino 25% angora): 8 (9, 10, 10, 11, 12) skeins.
Substitute any worsted-weight wool or wool blend that works to gauge.
