The Fisherman’s Market Bag is a slouchy market bag working in one piece with a short section of seaming on both sides.

This pattern is available in US and UK terms.

Yarn used is Nurturing Fibres Eco-Cotton which is a 100% hand-dyed cotton in DK (3) weight. The pattern uses between 310 and 372 meters of yarn depending on tension. Colour used in the example image is Paris.

You can substitute with any similar yarn. Hook used is 4mm. You will also need stitch markers, scissors and a tapestry needle for sewing in ends.

The bag size is approximately 40cm long x 30cm wide. Getting an exact gauge is not critical for this project, but working a little tighter gives a better finish.
