The german title of the book the Pattern is from is “Alles über Stricken”, stuttgart/Hamburg/München 1980.
The pattern comes from the book “Complete Book of Needlecraft Hardcover” from 1978 published by Marshall Cavendish. Amazon.com lists Janet Kirkwood as the author.

In that book, the pattern is only called “Pullover”, but it’s a fisherman’s sweater or gansey. There are gussets at the underside of the sleeves. There is no ribbing at the bottom, but a garter stitch “flap”.
The german book doesn’t contain any charts, just written directions.
