FISHY SWEATER KIDS KNITTING PATTERN

Knitting pattern for a sweater for children. Cute sweater knitted in Hip Wool. The sweater is knitted from the bottom up. When the sleeve opening is made, the front and back pieces are divided into 2 parts that are knitted separately to the specified length. Sew or knit together over the shoulders. The sleeves are knitted from the top down - stitches are knitted up in the sleeve opening on the body.

FIT
Range of motion (positive ease) is approximately + 15 cm from the chest measurement/upper width for a slightly loose fit. If the child measures, for example, 43 cm around the chest, size 2 years will fit best (range of motion of 17 cm). Choose the size according to the upper width measurement and adjust the length of the sleeves and body according to the child. Note - correct measurements require that the knitting tension is observed. Due to the pattern knit all over, the sweater cannot be stretched much in shape when steamed/washed. It is therefore important that you choose the right needle size according to the knitting tension. If the circumference is between two sizes, go up a size and knit the length of the sleeves and body according to the correct age/child’s measurements.

In addition to knitting needles, you will need a needle for thread attachment, scissors and a measuring tape.
