Five and Dime Hat
The Five and Dime Hat is a versatile yet refreshingly simple hat recipe. It was designed to flatter almost any yarn (even if it isn’t quite perfect!) and the stitch repeat is easy to memorize once you get going.
Sizes – Small (Medium, Large)
DK: 18 (20, 22) inches / 45.5 (51, 56) cm circumference; 8.5 (9.5, 10.25) inches / 21.5 (24, 26.5) cm tall
Worsted: 17.5 (20, 22.5) inches / 44.5 (51, 57) cm circumference; 8.25 (9, 9.75) inches / 21 (23, 25) cm tall
Chunky: 16.75 (20, 23.25) inches / 42.5 (51, 59) cm circumference; 7.75 (8.75, 9.5) inches / 19.5 (22, 24) cm tall
Hat is designed to be worn with about 1–3 inches / 2.5–7.5 cm of negative ease.

- 140 (155, 175) yards / 128 (142, 160) meters DK weight yarn (3-ply, 100% Merino)
- 1 set of US 4 (3.5mm) double-pointed needles
- 1 set of US 6 (4mm) double-pointed needles
Worsted version (green sample)

Gauge
DK: 20 stitches and 30 rows to 4 inches / 10 cm over stockinette in the round
Worsted: 16 stitches and 28 rows to 4 inches / 10 cm over stockinette in the round
Chunky: 12 stitches and 24 rows to 4 inches / 10 cm over stockinette in the round
