I wanted to design a circular-yoke sweater with an intarsia yoke, and this close-fitting, short-sleeve top is the result. It approaches the circular-yoke sweater in a novel way by knitting the yoke flat to the neck and then joining to knit the body from the top down in the round. It also uses several different techniques: provisional cast-on using barber cord, I-cord bind offs at the neckline and sleeves, and corrugated ribbing at the hem that echoes the colors in the yoke.
