I wonder if you think this bit of information might be worth passing on to the Ravelryettes? I’ve been receiving a lot of emails from people who are making my Flamenco Flamingo and are puzzled as to why I say to leave the legs unstuffed, and yet the flamingo is shown standing up in the magazine. I designed the toy to be sitting, which is why there is no stuffing in the legs, but the art department of Simply Knitting decided to use a bit of camera-trickery to show it standing… which has proved to be a little misleading. I think it would be almost impossible to get the flamingo to stand up on its own, even if the legs were stiffened, because it would be too top heavy. Knowing this may save a bit of frustration.
