The perfect socks to show off at your end of summer parties!

Yarn:
Uncommon Thread Tough Sock (approx. 366m / 400yds per 100g skein).
Colours shown:
MC: Charred 1(1, 1) skein.
CC: Pow 1(1, 1) skein.
Alternate version: CC: Madelinetosh Sock (approx. 361m /395yds per 100g skein), in Neon Peach 1 (1, 1) skein.

These Flamingo Flamboyance socks are knitted toe up, following a few simple colourwork charts.

The pattern uses separate charts for each size to have the correct
number of houndstooth repeats along your sock.
The length of your sock can be adapted by knitting more or fewer houndstooth pattern repeats between toe and top charts.
The sock should measure 5.5cm / 2.25 in less than your foot length when you place the afterthought waste yarn.

Sizes: S (M, L)
Small Women UK 3 (Medium Women UK 6, Large Men UK 10).
Please note that the sock is knitted in stranded colourwork throughout. This makes the socks thicker and it may affect the stretchiness of your knitting. You may wish to choose a needle 1/4 of a size larger than what you would normally use. The two strands of yarn used throughout the socks will keep your feet nice and cosy.

These socks were designed to be shown off, they remind me of drinks with friends round a bonfire, laughter and memories.
Little note: A group of flamingoes is called a flamboyance of flamingoes so the more flamingoes the better! Happy knitting!
